Disability Support Worker
Position Description :

The Disability Support Worker is responsible for implementing training and support services aimed at maximising the living, employment, social and recreational skills of people with a disability. Community inclusion, independence, decision making and personal choice should be promoted through these supports, with a focus on individual needs.

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Providing care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans, including:

  • Personal tasks
  • Domestic assistance
  • Respite
  • Social support
  • Transport
  • Meal preparation
  • Group participation
  • Life skills development
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Cert III Individual Support, Mental Health, Aged Care, Community Services, Disability Work or similar.
  • Current WWCC, Criminal Record Check and First Aid Certificate
  • Drivers License
  • Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Smart phone
EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 6 months relevant experience
  • Experience supporting People with Disability.
  • Demonstrated Continuing Professional Development.
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles
SKILLS:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritise.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of programs and other computer systems for record keeping.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-management skills.

Office Administrator
Position Description :

The Office Administrator will undertake administrative tasks, ensuring the rest
of the staff has adequate support to work efficiently. The office administrator
ensures smooth running of our office and contributes in driving sustainable
growth.

Lake Macquarie/Newcastle areas

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Managing incoming telephone calls and emails.
  • Ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with in a timely and efficient
    manner.
  • Assisting in booking, preparing and setting up conference/meeting
    rooms and group events.
  • Diary management and arranging appointments.
  • Management of office equipment.
  • Sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned.
  • Assist colleagues whenever needed.
  • Managing social media accounts.
  • Accurately enter client invoices into our system and generate funding
    schedules.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Qualifications in Secretarial Studies or Office Administration.
  • Current Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Qualification in Disability work or Welfare (desirable).
EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role.
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles.
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting
    principles.
SKILLS:
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills and the ability to remain calm.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and ability to multi-task.
  • Professional phone manner.
  • A self-starter and ability to work independently.
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritise.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of programs and other office
    management software.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain good working
    relationships.
